Quality of working life of Czech nurses and its changes over time

The bachelor's thesis named The quality of the working life of Czech nurses and its changes over time is about the quality of life, the quality of working life and the quality of the working life of nurses, which is discussed in the theoretical part of the thesis. Aims: The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to find out what the quality of the working life of Czech nurses is now, what it was like 10 years ago and to compare those results. Methods: Data was collected in selected departments at the Motol University Hospital, both inpatient and outpatient types of workplaces. The target group consisted pediatric and general nurses. Microsoft Forms online form was used to colect data, Microsoft Excel and Statistica CZ 12 were used for data processing. 90 valid questionnaires were included in the study. Results: The quality of the working life of Czech nurses has increased slightly over the course of 10 years. Nurses rate the quality of working life slightly more positively than the citizens of the Czech Republic (according to data available from the portal Pracovní pohoda, portal dedicated to measuring the quality of working life, in which the Occupational Safety Research Institute, v. v. i. and the Sociological Institute of the Institute of Sociology of the Czech Academy of Sciences, v. v. i....
Significant factors of quality of working life in terms of management in the nonprofit sector

This thesis deals with the issue of quality of work life (QWL), namely the important factors of QWL in terms of the management of non-governmental organizations (NGO). Perception of QWL has a positive effect on job satisfaction, personal well-being and job performance (its productivity and quality). The aim of this mapping study is to determine the important factors of QWL from the subjective perspective. Expert semistructured interviews were used for this purpose. The results indicate that the identified factors are identical with QWL mentioned by individual authors and institutions. The following factors were identified: absence of stress, interpersonal relationships in the workplace, support from the organization, evaluation of work, working environment. The positively evaluated factors include good relations in the workplace, need and utility of service, and self-actualization. The problematic working factors are financial conditions, obligations arising from the legislative framework, uncertainty about the sustainability of services, view of society and the low level of spatial facilities. Quality of working life and work engagement of employees in educational organizations

The Master's thesis focuses on the complexities of quality of work life and work engagement among education staff. The introduction presents a general overview of key concepts and outlines the development of approaches and the wider context. Drawing on the theoretical background, the following text addresses specific problems in greater detail. While the first chapter deals with a more general understanding of quality of life in various disciplines, the second chapter narrows its focus to the concept of quality of work life introducing selected theories and contemporary research approaches. Another thematic part of the thesis explores work engagement - it defines the concept, its development and relation to other phenomena (for instance, work satisfaction, well-being, or the burn-out syndrome). The thesis also includes an empirical study with the intention to describe the subjectively perceived quality of work life and the level of work engagement among employees of educational organizations. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, numerous measures needed to be adopted, which have profoundly transformed and influenced the way teachers perform their job tasks. Quality of working life related to human resources activities

This thesis analyses the concept of quality of working life related to human resources activities. In the theoretical part, key concepts and related terms are introduced. Then different approaches and categorisations are stated. Individual human resources activities contributing to quality of working life as introduced by Walton are described in the following subchapters. Several examples of research approaches related to quality of working life are stated as well as different means of evaluating and measuring quality of working life. The practical part consists of a research design leading to a questionnaire development measuring quality of working life according to Walton's factors, which were described in detail in the theoretical part.
Quality of work life from the employees'perspective

This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of quality of work life, specifically from the employees' point of view; that is from the subjective perspective. The theoretical part of the thesis covers the historical development of quality of work life and puts it into the context of organizational management. Furthermore, it demarcates a set of different definitions, conceptions and currently used methods of measurement of the construct. By analysing the conceptions, it closely introduces ten chosen factors of quality of work life which represent the theoretical basis for the practical part of the thesis. The practical part consists of a layout of a research project which focuses on the development of a standardized survey for measuring quality of work life in Czech setting. Quality of working life of selected groups of nurses

Bachelor thesis "Quality of working life in selected groups of nurses" presents a comparison of quality of working life of nurses in intensive care units and nurses in department for long-term illnesses. Theoretical part deals with the presentation of basic knowledge of quality of life and quality of working life. The folowing are the roles of nurses and characteristic of general activities carried out by nurses. Furthermore it focuses on the type sof workplaces, where it conducted its own research. Own research was conducted using questionnaires. Their task was to colect dates that coresponds to indicators of quality of working life and can evaluate quality of working life. The dates were evaluated using tables and graphs and results were compared with each other. Then the results were compared with the results of a survey conducted by the Center for research of public mening by Sociological Institute of the Academy of Sciences.
Employee Care and Corporate Sport

This thesis deals with corporate sport in all its forms. The aim is to monitor the development and the status of corporate sport especially in Europe, its impact on employees and what benefits it brings for businesses and society. The status of sport in the Czech corporate environment was examined in the practical part of this work through structured interviews and group discussion. The practical part mainly focuses on the impact of sport on corporate business climate, teamwork, motivation and health condition of employees. Recommendations for corporate practice are formulated in the conclusion. The author considers the mapping of the current situation in this area of employee care and a survey regarding employers view to be the main contribution of this paper.
Quality of working life in an international company.

The dissertation thesis is focused on the quality of working life, its detection, measurement and mainly improvement. The topic of the thesis is solved in international companies. There are two points of view to the problem. The first one is the side of employee, because from all the sources available are employees the most important one. The second point of view is the side of employer. In the theoretical part there are mentioned factors influencing the quality of working life: work life balance, diversity management, gender stereotypes, religiosity, discrimination etc. The environment of international companies was narrowed to the Czech - Italian companies. For a better understanding the environment there are described labour markets of both countries as well as there is a comparison of both countries in the context of international indicators. The pilot and main research as well were realized in the Czech - Italian companies. The aim of the research was to fulfil the objectives of the thesis as well as to answer to the research questions and hypotheses.
